About the AOP blog

Welcome to the web-log (blog) of American Opera Projects, the country’s most exciting source for new opera and music theatre! It is here that you can read about the latest news and happenings at AOP, get a behind-the-scenes look at our productions as they develop, and, most importantly, where you, our audience, can give us your thoughts about AOP shows and programs and the state of new music in general!

Our main page (Home) is devoted to AOP News and items of interest.

Comment on our Recent Shows is your place to log on and tell us what you think about a particular AOP performance or a project in general.

From the Frontlines takes you behind the scenes with our creators as they enter their thoughts about AOP works in development and production.

Keep your cool. Ranting on blogs is commonplace today, but take a moment and think about what you are writing. Remember, once it is out there, it can be seen by many and crawled by search engines; and taking things back is harder once it is public. Take a moment to read what you’ve written before hitting the Publish button. When you are ready, share it with the world.

To return at anytime to the main AOP Website where you can learn about all of our projects, upcoming events, read articles about our artists, and watch and listen to audio and video excerpts from some of our recent shows, just click the tab on the right cleverly marked “AOP Website.” It’s just that easy!

As a company devoted entirely to the creation of new works, your comments and opinions are the life blood of AOP. Well.. maybe not the life-blood, but certainly the white blood cells!

Now, join in and have a voice!
